The report claimed that the sporting management of the Blanquirroja, through Gaby Ruiz, one of Víctor Orta’s closest collaborators, was asked by emissaries from Manchester United about Juanlu Sánchez who was followed with interest during the exceptional tournament that he had.
Sánchez’s versatility and potential role at United
Sánchez earned Sevilla’s Player of the Month award for August. The 21-year-old offers versatility, which could benefit Ten Hag’s squad.
He primarily plays as a right-winger or right-wing-back but was used as a right-back during the Olympics.
In La Liga, he has played in central midfield and even as a supporting striker. This adaptability would strengthen United’s squad depth in several key areas.

At just 21 years old, Sánchez fits the profile INEOS prefers—recruiting young talent.
Transfermarkt values him at €15 million, making him a potentially affordable option for United.
His contract runs until 2026, but with one year remaining next summer, the club could negotiate a bargain deal if they choose to pursue him further.
