Manchester United are reportedly ‘considering’ former Liverpool defender in this transfer window.

The Red Devils have had a strong start to the window, securing the signings of Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro.

However, it seems that a new right-back is what’s on the agenda for the Red Devils this season.

The future of Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been greatly discussed in this transfer window.

Despite being arguably the best one-on-one right back in the English Premier League, Wan-Bissaka has been constantly linked with a move away from the club.

That’s primarily due to his playing style. Commentators have picked up that he’s better defensively than in offensive.

For a club like Manchester United, who primarily operate on the front foot, that tends to weaken the right hand of their attack.

When you compare him to Luke Shaw on the other side of the pitch 0r Diogo Dalot, the difference is noticeable in an attacking sense.

Having said that, his qualities in defence are without that.

Numerous opposition players think that they’ve gotten the better of Wan-Bissaka, only for the defender to stick a leg out of nowhere and tackle the ball clean.

It was that ability that made United spend £50m when they signed him from Crystal Palace in 2019.

But it seems that his time at the club is soon to be up, as United are open to accepting offers for the Englishman.

And to replace him United are looking to sign a more attacking right-back this window.

So far the club have reportedly registered interest in multiple full-backs including Denzel Dumfries and Noussair Mazraoui, with whom United are in advanced talks.

Now, a new report from HITC via Manchester Evening News, speculates that United are also keeping tabs on Nottingham Forest defender Neco Williams.

Neco Williams formerly played for Liverpool, making 33 senior appearances.

The links come amid reports suggesting United are looking for a new right-back.

West Ham have apparently already had a bid rejected for Williams, while Milan, Tottenham and Newcastle have all been connected with interest.

It remains to be seen who United actually sign this window to fill the right-back role.

Currently, Mazraoui seems the most probable addition to the squad, but any deal is contingent upon Wan-Bissaka’s departure.
