Manchester United’s shortlist of strikers is constantly gaining new names as the club are desperate to sign an in-form goalscorer this summer to lead their attack.
With Ruben Amorim relying on Bruno Fernandes, Alejandro Garnacho and Amad Diallo as his top goalscorers, Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund are failing to deliver.
However, it’s been reported that Amorim has confidence that Zirkzee can develop further and deliver under his playstyle.
Unfortunately the same can’t be said for Hojlund who is expected to be sold this summer.
The list of potential replacements is headed by Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap, with other stars like Wolves’ Matheus Cunha, Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyokeres and now Bayer Leverkusen’s Patrik Schick.
However, another long-term target still on the list is Napoli reject Victor Osimhen.

Manchester United confident in signing Victor Osimhen
Whilst Osimhen has a hefty £63 million release clause, United are confident of luring the Nigerian striker to Old Trafford.
Premier League rivals Chelsea are also keen on Osimhen, as well as several of Europe’s elite clubs.
However, Football Insider has revealed United’s confidence in hijacking a move to Stamford Bridge.
The Red Devils’ former chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider: “Some of the options United have looked at will command huge fees because their clubs want to keep them or they’re on long contracts.”
He continued: “That isn’t the case for Osimhen, I think it’s pretty much accepted that he will leave Napoli.
“Man United aren’t the only ones interested, Chelsea have had a look at him and there are a few others I expect will be in the running.
“But from what I hear, United are confident they could convince him to choose them.”
However the main sticking points to Untied signing Osimhen will be their financial struggles and their current performances.
Sitting in 14th in the Premier League, unlikely to make it to the top half of the table, United are experiencing their worst season to date.
As such, they only have one route left to secure European football next year. Lifting the Europa League is the only opportunity to remain in Europe next season.
Without it, stars like Osimhen are extremely unlikely to want to join the club over teams who have Champions League football.
