Manchester United and Real Madrid seem to both be focusing on the same targets for the coming transfer window.
The war started in the summer when United stole Leny Yoro from under Madrid’s noses, despite the young defended preferring a move to Spain.
The signing of the “generational talent” was a massive statement for United, showing they mean business. However, Yoro’s been unlucky with his start at Old Trafford, yet to make his competitive debut due to injury.
Already the two European giants are set to enter a bidding war for Bayern Munch’s Alphonso Davies this January. The left-back is coming to the end of his contract, with neither team wanting to miss out on a world-class free agent.

United are reportedly leading the race, offering Davies a “blank cheque” to choose his wage, however, now another defender is coming between the mammoth clubs.
Manchester United and Pedro Porro
Spanish outlet AS, as reported by SportsWitness, has now reported that Manchester United and Manchester City are set to rival Madrid for Tottenham Hotspur’s right-back, Pedro Porro.
The news comes as Porro’s entourage is “convinced” of United making an offer for the 25-year-old to reunite him with former manager Ruben Amorim.
Porro played for Amorim at Sporting before moving to Spurs in 2023, making 98 appearances with 12 goals and 20 assists under the Portuguese manager.
However, it’s not sure how realistic this is.
United have already confirmed that Amorim will have a limited transfer budget to work with, trying to harness the potential in the squad instead of signing big-money players.
With Porro reportedly worth £58 million (€70 million), this is money that United potentially don’t have.
However, it wasn’t expected that United would beat Madrid the first time around with Yoro, so anything can happen.
