The 2024/25 Premier League season has so far been a mess for United fans to witness.
Erik ten Hag departing a squad built over £600 million, to the hands of Ruben Amorim has been a harsh task.
United have continued to struggle under the Portuguese, despite going to a more cautious system in the 3-4-3.
Goalscoring issues have continued to be a main theme, with 27 goals scored in the league this season.
While the transfer talk will mainly be dominated by incomings, outgoings are important too.
The January window has come at the right time, but United need to make use of it smartly.
Many players across the squad have been linked with a winter exit.
One player who has long been linked with an exit, is now set to make his move.

That player is Antony, who’s future with the Red Devils has remained uncertain since Ten Hag departed.
According to Ben Jacobs on X, Antony is now set to join Real Betis on a straight loan.
The full agreement has been reached, with permission for Antony to travel.

The deal does not include an option to buy, Antony will return to United as normal in June.
Antony’s departure to join Betis has also been confirmed by Fabrizio Romano.
Antony to Real Betis, here we go! Verbal agreement in place between all parties with Man United too.
Documents being checked; then time for travel and medical tests.

It is a loan move that comes to much disappointment for United overall.
The hype into the Brazilian, let alone the price tag which instilled plenty of hope into United fans.
However, the reality has been anything alike from the expectation.
The winger isn’t a clear fit in Amorim’s system, but wasn’t standing out under Ten Hag.
Despite Antony thriving under Ten Hag at Ajax, the Premier League has proven too difficult for the 24-year-old.
United fans will be hoping that Antony’s short-term departure will open up the door for a marquee signing to come in.
A sad end to a story that started with plenty of hope.
