Manchester United will certainly be in the market for attackers seeing as their attacking unit will be one forward less with Anthony Martial leaving the club after his contract expires.

According to a report from Fichajes, Manchester United and Arsenal have both exhibited strong interest in AC Milan winger Rafael Leão.

The Portuguese attacker can operate as both a winger and as a centre forward, contributing on both providing and scoring.

Leão was strongly linked to Chelsea and PSG just last week, with the former seeking to attempt replacing outgoing superstar Kylian Mbappé with him.

In response to these rumours, Leão firmly stated his future as only at Milan.

In an interview with Corriere della Sera, Leao said, “My future is at Milan. I’m here and I still have a four-year contract. Milan helped me when I was in a very difficult situation, they were close to me. I don’t forget, I’m loyal. I arrived as a boy, here I grew as a man and as a footballer. I want to win again, my head is here.”

The rumours keep only circulating, with this latest report linking him to both Arsenal and Man United.

The Portuguese international has 12 goals and 12 assists to his name in all competitions this season, which is a pretty decent output.

Leão could be a huge upgrade on some of United’s frontline options in the likes of Antony and Jadon Sancho.

A move to the Premier League is always a very tempting option for all players in world football, and this too could be an exciting opportunity for Leão to have a go in the best league in the world.

The report states that the player has a market value of around €150 million, a very steep figure, one might add.

It stands to reason if United and Arsenal are to go through with their interest, they will only do so at a reasonable price, so AC Milan may have to lower that a bit if they decide to sell him.
