Manchester United have an incredible wealth of young talent in their academy system at the moment, having recently added to it with some top signings.
Today it was announced that United have signed Ayden Heaven from Arsenal. The 18-year-old centre-back is believed to provide cover for Lisandro Martinez, slotting straight into the senior squad.
The youngster joins Leny Yoro in the squad, with Yoro being a massive signing of “generational talent” last summer.
Joining them is left-back Diego Leon, coming from Paraguayan club Cerro Porteno for around £3.1 million. The 17-year-old will only be able to join the club after his 18th birthday, meaning his official move to Old Trafford will take place in the summer.
These new stars join United, with the club already having a host of talented youngsters fighting to come up through the ranks.
Waiting in the youth academy are stars like Sekou Kone, Chido Obi-Martin and Samuel Lusale. However, Academy Scoop has now reported a bit of a teaser regarding United’s academy.
The report explains that one of the many talented individuals in the club is currently being scouted by several top European clubs.
The account doesn’t want to name the star as of yet, however, can see him rising from the younger sides to make his Under-18 debut over the coming months.
Instantly speculation has started rising as to who they mean, with most people in the comments suggesting that the report is referring to JJ Gabriel.
Last year it was reported that Barcelona were showing particular interest in the 14-year-old, with concerns of potential “tapping up”. The LaLiga giants showered him with gifts and experiences when he holidayed in the Spanish city last summer.
With Gabriel having been promoted to the Under-18s earlier this season despite his young age, it’s another piece of the puzzle which fits with what Academy Scoop are saying, giving more potential to them hinting at Gabriel as the young star.
