As reported by Goal.com before their win against Derby County, Manchester United boss, has accused the press of not taking responsibility for the stories they have “made up” about his team ahead of their FA Cup clash against Derby County.
Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has once again hit out at the media’s coverage of his team, accusing reporters of making up stories they do not have to take responsibility for.
The Dutchman reacted angrily this week to reports suggesting he had offered to quit the United job following the 1-0 defeat against Southampton last weekend.
Speaking before his side’s FA Cup fourth-round clash at Derby County, Van Gaal insisted he was used to dealing with spells of pressure but admitted he was feeling the presence of the media glare.
“I have always periods in every club so this is not new,” he told the BBC .
“What’s new is that stories are made up by the media and that you can write everything without taking responsibility [for] what you are writing.”
“Every human being shall always be influenced by their environment and that environment is influenced by the media.”
