Manchester United have adopted multiple cost-saving measures under Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS.
Just to name a couple – complimentary lunch meals for staff have been axed and Sir Alex Ferguson’s contract as a club ambassador was also terminated.
United narrowly avoided Premier League Profit and Sustainability rule breaches earlier this year.
Ahead of Monday’s Ballon d’Or ceremony, the club asked rivals Manchester City for help in another effort to save money.

United asked if Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho could join City’s flight to Paris for the occasion.
City politely declined the request, as their flight was full with seven players nominated for awards.
Ruben Dias, Phil Foden, Erling Haaland and Rodri were all nominated for the Ballon d’Or, while Yui Hasegawa, Lauren Hemp and Khadija Shaw were in the running for City’s women.
Mainoo and Garnacho will travel to Paris as Kopa Trophy nominees, an award given to the best under-21 talent in football.
Mail Sport reported that United believe chartering a private jet for two players would not be a good look on the club.
They are conscious of their carbon footprint, thus the preference to share a jet with their neighbours.

This is not an uncommon sight, as many Premier League clubs do so when returning from an international break.
Recently, Andreas Pereira, Gabriel, Bruno Guimaraes and other Brazilian players shared a flight back to England.
However, with their current peformances and state of the club, United requesting this from their biggest rivals is not the best look.
Manchester City will likely be disappointed on Monday, as it has already been reported that Vinicius Jr is expected to win the Ballon d’Or.
For the Kopa Trophy, the winner has not been leaked yet, but it will be hard to bet against Lamine Yamal taking it home.
