May 27, BRONX, New York – A man was knifed and killed during a physical altercation turned violent Sunday afternoon, in a University Heights apartment building, cops said.
Upon arrival at the mixed-use building, NYPD officers located a 25-year-old man with a serious stab wound to the neck. The victim was rushed by EMS to St. Barnabas Hospital, but did not survive.
According to police officials, the victim was attacked during a heated argument that turned physically violent in the shelter housing section of the building.
Incident was reported at around 2:15 p.m., at a building on Landing Road in the Bronx that doubles as a homeless shelter and low income housing unit apartments.
No arrests as of Monday morning and the investigation into the fatal stabbing is ongoing.
