July 02, 2024 MANHATTAN, New York – A man was killed during a broad daylight drive-by shooting on Tuesday afternoon in Harlem, cops said.
Police reportedly located a man shot in the back and seriously injured. The injured man was taken to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
According to police, the 37-year-old male victim was involved in a verbal dispute with a group of men when the driver of white Honda drove by and shot at the victim near the corner of W. 118th St. & Frederick Douglass Blvd.
Following the shooting, the driver sped away before ditching the vehicle a block away. The vehicle is believed to be the one that gunfire rang out of before an occupant reportedly fled on a stolen Citibike. The white vehicle was being looked at by detectives down the road on W 118th street.
No reported arrests at the fatal shooting reported just before 2 pm, where police responded to 911 calls of a shots fired near W 118th St & Fredrick Douglas Blvd in Manhattan, NYC.
