May 24, 2024 BRONX, New York – Three people were shot early Friday morning in the Bronx. A man and woman were fatally gunned down with one other male injured in the University Heights neighborhood triple shooting, cops said.
According to police officials, upon arrival, officers located multiple victims with various injuries including Justin Lawless, 36, and Claretha Daniels, 44, who were both shot in the chest. A 40-year-old man was also found with a gunshot wound to the right arm.
All three victims struck by gunfire were rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital where the man and woman shot in the chest were pronounced dead. The additional male victim shot in the arm was last listed in stable condition.
No arrests for the shooting incident reported just before 12:15 a.m., near Davidson Avenue & Evelyn Place in the University Heights section of the Bronx.
