MAGALIA — Though maybe begrudgingly, the last signs of winter weather appear to be fading from Butte County for a good while as storms become fewer and farther between — and the temperatures keep on rising. After a brief rain in the early hours of Monday, clouds began to roll past the foothills — as seen here at Sawmill Peak — and blue skies began to take hold throughout the day. Temperatures are expected to climb this week and get as high as 82 degrees on Thursday, according to a forecast by the National Weather Service’s Sacramento office, with the averages being in the high 70s.
