The Making A Difference Foundation (MADF) of Tacoma, Washington, has announced its 2024 scholarship awards, providingo financial support to fifteen students attending colleges across the country. For over two decades, MADF has been committed to empowering students by offering resources to help them achieve positive change in their lives and communities.
“Education opens doors to opportunities that can transform not only individual lives but entire communities,” said Ahndrea Blue, President and Founder of MADF. “Through this scholarship program, we are proud to continue supporting passionate young adults as they pursue their goals and contribute to a better world. We believe that investing in their future is an investment in the future of us all.”
MADF’s annual scholarships are awarded through its Scholarship Selection Committee, with individual students receiving $1,500 to assist with college expenses such as tuition, books, supplies, and room and board. The foundation also collaborates with schools, nonprofits, and other organizations to support educational initiatives through financial contributions.
The 2024 MADF scholarship recipients include:
Anthony Brown – Pursuing a degree in applied health and fitness at Portland State University, with a goal of becoming a leader in sports medicine.
Hannah Brogan – Studying business and cosmetology at Clover Park Technical College, with plans to run her own salon and provide free haircuts to the homeless.
Lauryn Davis – Attending Winston-Salem University, pursuing a nursing degree.
Mister Beavers – Majoring in business at the University of Arizona, aiming to become a real estate agent.
Austin Adebayo Collins – Pursuing interdisciplinary studies at the University of California, Berkeley, with a goal of supporting youth through scholarships or nonprofits.
Alexander Collins – Majoring in law at Texas Southern University, with aspirations to work in the front office of a major league sports team.
Angeline Cifelli – Studying psychology at Gonzaga University, aiming to work in therapy.
Augustine Cifelli – Majoring in international business at Washington State University, with goals of becoming a global risk management director.
Josie Lucien – Pursuing computer science and health informatics at the University of Victoria, with plans to work in healthcare digitization.
Adyne Nolan – Studying business administration at Los Angeles Harbor College, with a goal of growing her nail tech business and supporting other entrepreneurs.
ZaNae Ware – Majoring in business and marketing at Mott Community College, with plans to start her own fashion company.
Alynn Keva Harris Cobbinah – Studying music and business at Seattle Central College, with aspirations to work in apparel design.
Calyx Leanna Hall – Majoring in illustration and creative writing at Otis College of Art and Design, aiming to create her own graphic novel series.
Sarai Hanna Marie Elder – Studying political science and psychology at the University of California, Los Angeles, with plans to become a lawyer.
Aaliyah Boston – Majoring in social welfare at the University of Washington Tacoma, with the goal of obtaining a doctorate and opening a practice in underserved communities.

Eligible students must be U.S. citizens, demonstrate financial need, and be enrolled in an accredited college or university. Past recipients are eligible to reapply annually for up to four years.
