Next week will finally mark the arrival of Street Fighter 6’s next DLC character. SNK guest fighter Mai Shiranui is gracefully entering the battle as one of the game’s playable characters, and she’ll be released on Wednesday, February 5.
Before she can official launch, however, Capcom will have to run their routine server maintenance to make way for the new update. The company just announced the dates and times for when the maintenance period will run indicating when you’ll be able to play as Mai in Street Fighter 6.
As you might expect, the server maintenance period is scheduled for the night before Mai’s release. On Tuesday, February 4, the servers will go offline so that Capcom can make the necessary preparations for the update.

In addition to Mai being added as a playable DLC character, Capcom has also revealed that several quality of life changes will come packed with this coming update.
One of the most significant changes coming to Street Fighter 6 next week is the addition of new ranks for ranked matches. Players will be able to grind to become High Master, Grand Master and Ultimate Master rank, and there will also be a new set of points to collect that will lead to unlocking goodies such as new colors.
Capcom is also adding a “Match Restore” option for Custom Room bouts that, should a match disconnect unexpectedly, competitors will be able to restore it at the start of the round where the drop happened. After the update, players will also be able to review recent replays right after a match ends in both ranked and casual.
Street Fighter 6’s single player World Tour mode is getting an improvement as well. After Mai is added, players will be able to better locate and understand how to become the Master characters’ pupils right from the start by checking the Status menu.
