In reaction to the Made-in-Cross River State Obudu Rice news coming from Prince Goddy Jedy Agba's Godilogo Farms locally grown, processed and bagged –Obudu Rice, which hit Cross River cyberspace yesterday http://www.negroidhaven.org/2016/07/jedy-agba-embarrasses-ayade-with-made.html there have been a plethora of mixed reactions from Cross Riverians majority of which have been commendable on Jedy-Agba's entrepreneurial initiative.
Prominent figures like politicians, social commentators, academics both in and out of the state and in the diaspora have aired their commendations, worthy of note are Dr Alex Egbona, former Chief of General Staff to former Governor Liyel Imoke, Obasesam Okoi the Canada based academic and politician, Inyali Peter the media aide to APC gubernatorial candidate in the 2015 general elections, Mr Odey Ochicha, and the list continues. What follow are the exact words of commendations from these public figures:
Alex Egbona
We started producing Abi rice 3 years ago without advert. We are happy with this development. It is another way of creating employment opportunities for the youths of CRS.

Vision Loaded With Practicality: Any Lesson for Ayade?
Prince Jeddy Agba has done well. He didn't bring people from Thailand to teach us rice farming. He simply rebranded Obudu rice to expand the market and create a demand for local content using local talent.
By the time Ayade's rice city project is completed, every household in Cross River will be consuming Obudu Rice. When that happens, there will be overproduction of rice, while competition will lead to a drastic fall in prices.
Thanks Agba.
Inyali Peter
Since this Made-in-Obudu rice hits the airwave, I've been wondering what our dear “digital” Governor will be thinking about his rice MOUs with Taiwan and Thailand.
When I did an article titled “Ayade's Foreign Trips: Our Loss His Gain”, I didn't know something like this will come up this soon to justify my position.
Is it that Ayade didn't know of the quality of Made-in-Obudu rice? Was he not supposed to use his office to promote the product especially as it boldly carries his local government as the brand name? Is Ayade really interested in moving the state forward or taking advantage of his position to expand his personal business? These and many more questions have left me pondering!
I enjoin all Cross Riverians to say no to Ayade antics and stand firm to promote our local products. We don't need Taiwan, Thailand rice. We need Obudu rice. #WeneedObudunotTainwanrice#
