Machine Gun Kelly, the “maybe” singer, is opening up about a tough time in his life. He’s been reflecting on this through his new song, “Don’t Let Me Go.”
He recently showed off his new blackout tattoo. The story behind this ink? It’s all in the lyrics of his new track.
“I wish they’d get me, just once,” rapped the Grammy nominee, whose real name is Colson Baker. He had a meltdown and inked his entire body, leaving just one line untouched.
On Feb. 20, the 33-year-old first unveiled his blackout tattoo on Instagram. His caption? “For spiritual purposes only.”
A day earlier, he’d mentioned that the design took “44 needles” to complete. He also shared his tattoo artist’s post, hinting at the mix of “joy” and “pain” involved in the process.
But it’s not just about his breakdown. The lyrics in “Don’t Let Me Go” also have MGK musing over Megan Fox’s miscarriage, his fiancée.
He’s left asking, “How can I live knowing my hand wasn’t on her stomach when we lost the baby?”
