We’ve hit the second Thursday of August and that comes with Capcom’s release of Street Fighter 6’s online character usage statistics for July. July was newcomer M. Bison’s first full month of play, and the amnesiac dictator has skyrocketed up the charts as fans have proven more than excited about the franchise’s main antagonist.
How exactly did Bison stack up during his introductory month, especially with the likes of the still red-hot Akuma (who came out just a month before Bison) raging into seemingly every other ranked match? The answers await below.
When it comes to these statistics Capcom offers a variety of filters as they break things down by online ranks and give the option to view stats based around Modern or Classic control styles.
Overall, Akuma is still the top dog with nearly 13% of all attention, but Bison is in a relatively close second place position with 10.7%. Neither character is the most popular amid the lower online ranks, but Akuma takes the top spot in Gold, Platinum, and Master.
Bison was the most used character among Diamond ranked players, and once again came in second in the Masters category.
An interesting observation we noticed, however, is that if you turn the Modern controls filter on Ken quickly shoots to the top of almost every category. When it comes to Modern controls, Ken is number one in Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and overall.
We’ve rounded up the numbers from Buckler’s Bootcamp and have the full chart results for you to check out below. See how things pan out across various control styles, and see how the cast of SF6 is being used by clicking the thumbnails here:
