Another match up chart for Street Fighter 6 Season 2 has hit the internet. This time, we are given insights into a character that we haven’t heard a lot about lately due to other, stronger characters taking the limelight.
THG|Ludovic is a longtime Chun-Li main and most recently tied for 17th at the incredibly stacked major Street Fighter 6 event, East Coast Throwdown 2024. Lud’s new match up chart for the first fighting female of Street Fighter tells the tale of how Chun-Li does against each fighter on the current SF6 cast including newest DLC character, Terry Bogard.
Ludovic organizes this match up chart into the following categories: Good (Chun-Li wins), Kinda Good (slightly wins), Even, Some Struggle, Bad, and Give Up.
In the top category, Good, we see that Lud has placed four different fighters comfortably there. Jamie, E. Honda, Kimberly, and Terry Bogard all appear to be strong matches on the Chun-Li side, and most of these characters (and depending on who you ask, all) are on the lower end of the tier list right now.
Chun also appears to do fairly well against the likes of Ryu, Manon, and the highest tier placer so far on this list, Dee Jay. However, her even match ups seem to be where she shines most.
In Street Fighter 6, Ludovic feels that Chun-Li can go toe-to-toe with several of the characters many people consider to be among the strongest in the game. Ed, Akuma, Rashid, M. Bison, and Ken are all seen often in the top 5 with some instances of them being #1 in the entire game, and Juri is also a very strong contender who is no stranger to being placed in the game’s top 10.
Going even with some of the best characters in Season 2 is definitely a good place to be in, and Lud noted that overall he feels that Chun-Li sits about mid-high tier on the tier list.
