Logos for the Year 2 Character Pass for Street Fighter 6 have been discovered

Shortly after the Season 2 patch, Capcom released the first anniversary update. This latest patch added a number of goodies for fans.

Street Fighter 6 Director Takayuki Nakayama recently spoke how the team is planning on releasing more than just a yearly balance patch for this season, though this anniversary update doesn’t appear to be what he was speaking about. However, there was something else discovered with this patch that has very interesting implications.

Logos for the Year 2 Character Pass have surfaced, seemingly from PrincesahKira. There’s a version for the normal version of the character pass, as well as an ultimate edition of the bundle.

Of course, the Year 2 Character Pass is surrounded by a silver theme. Meanwhile, the Year 2 Ultimate Pass has a golden theme to it.

These logos look pretty much identical to the Year 1 Character Pass, except the “1” has been replaced by a “2.” As a result, we can probably predict what the Year 3 Character Pass logo will look like in a year’s time.

Regardless, the Year 1 Character Pass gives access to Rashid, A.K.I., Ed, and Akuma as DLC fighters, Outfit 1 colors 3-10 for those fighters, and 4,200 Drive Tickets. The Year 1 Ultimate Pass provides all of this as well as Outfit 2, Outfit 3, two additional stages, and an additional 3,500 Drive Tickets (for a total of 7,700 Drive Tickets).

We can probably expect that that the Year 2 Character Pass and Year 2 Ultimate Pass will provide similar bundles, though we do not yet know which characters will be released in Season 2. Though we’ll likely only get four additional combatants per season, some have speculated that we could potentially get a season with five or six combatants.

Street Fighter 6 Director Takayuki Nakayama and the rest of the development team have kept a pretty tight lip on Season 2 thus far, though Nakayama did recently tease fans by saying that there will be some unexpected characters. Even from just this statement alone, there’s been a lot of speculation by the fans.

For example, new World Tour content has seemingly been building up a storyline that suggests that M. Bison could be revived in the future. Due to this, many believe that M. Bison or characters somehow connected to M. Bison could show up in Season 2.

The fact that the Year 2 Character Pass is hidden inside the PlayStation 5 and Steam versions of Street Fighter 6 could suggest that Capcom could be preparing for an announcement very soon. Notably, it looks like Street Fighter 6 will be getting some spotlight at Summer Game Fest 2024 this Friday.

Though it’s important to keep expectations in check, we’ll be keeping an eye on the event and will report anything of note here on EventHubs. Stay tuned.
