LIVERPOOL 4-0 EVERTON: REDS THUMP 10-MAN TOFFEES IN ONE-SIDED DERBY

Goals from Divock Origi and Mamadou Sakho scored before half-time and Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho added sheen to the scoreline after Ramiro Funes Mori’s sending off.

Liverpool thrashed Everton 4-0 in the Merseyside derby on Wednesday, with the Reds turning in an utterly dominant performance at Anfield.

Divock Origi and Mamadou Sakho gave Jurgen Klopp’s men a 2-0 lead at the interval and the hosts then capitalised on Ramiro Funes Mori’s sending off to utterly humiliate their bitter rivals.

The centre-back was dismissed for an ugly challenge on Origi, with the Belgian subsequently stretchered off, and his replacement, Daniel Sturridge, added a third with a cool close-range finish before Philippe Coutinho completed the rout with a fine strike from the edge of the box.
