We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Litigation Assistant to join our team.
This hybrid position allows for remote work with occasional requirements to come into the office for specific tasks.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with court filing processes and strong administrative skills. The role involves managing court filings, delivering legal documents, and providing general support to our litigation team.
Key Responsibilities:
File court processes and legal documents with relevant courts.
Deliver legal letters and documents to clients, courts, and other parties.
Assist in the preparation and organization of case files and legal documentation.
Schedule and coordinate meetings, hearings, and court appearances.
Maintain and update case management systems and client records.
Provide administrative support to litigation lawyers, including managing calendars and deadlines.
Ensure timely and accurate filing of legal documents and submissions.
Perform other administrative duties as needed to support the litigation team.
Qualifications:
Proven experience with court filing processes and legal administrative tasks.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Keen attention to detail and high level of professionalism.
Experience in a legal support role or related administrative capacity is preferred.
Familiarity with legal terminology and court procedures is an asset.
