Lions bid Victor Ohaeri farewell amidst tears and grief

The Lions District 404A2 Nigeria, top-ranking Officials of Government, family, friends, Associates and sympathisers gathered on Tuesday, May 17, 2021, at the Pearl Ball Room of Transcorp Hotel, Calabar, to pay tribute to Late Lion Nnaemeka Victor Ohaeri, who died at the aged of 41.

Until his death, Late Lion Nnaemeka Victor was the Serving Club President, Canaan City Lions Club and the Deputy Manager, Zenith Bank Calabar.

The event featured a rendition of hymns, praise and worship, Bible reading, prayers for the bereaved family, a visit to the E-Library, Calabar constructed by Canaan City Lions Club and prayers by the Zonal Manager, Zenith Bank Calabar, Mrs Ekanem Asuquo where they had a stop.

The emotion-laden gathering featured tributes by His Excellency, the Deputy Governor of Cross River State, Prof. Ivara Esu, Senator Representing Cross River Central Senatorial District, Senator Sandy Onor, the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Eteng Williams, former Area Leader, Lions Clubs International, His Eminence, Lion Otumba Bassey Edem, the Zonal Manager, Zenith Bank Calabar, Mrs Ekanem Asuquo, the representative of Visa Express, friends among others.

Also in attendance were: the District Governor, District 404A2 Nigeria, Lion Elder Soni Eloma represented by the District Governor-Elect, Lion Lynda Odu-Okpeseyi, Past Area Leader, Lions Clubs International, His Eminence, Lion Otumba Bassey Edem, Past District Governors, the Leo Programme Chairperson, Lion Michael Udosen, Past and Serving Region and Zone Chairpersons, Past and Serving Clubs’ Presidents; the First Vice Leo District President-Elect, Leo Esther Esua; the Leo Region 4 Director, Leo Blessing Matthew; Lions, Leos, as well as other guests.

The Hon. Commissioner, Ministry of International Development Corporation, Lion Dr Inyang Asibong and the Hon. Commissioner, Ministry of Local Government Affairs, Mrs Stella Odey, were also present.
