Over 6,000 thank C’River First Lady for FREE Healthcare services

No fewer than six thousand persons has applauded the First Lady of Cross River State, Dr. (Mrs.) Linda Ayade for offering them free healthcare services for a week.

The Free Medical Outreach, sponsored by Dr. Ayade through her Pet project, The Mediatrix Development Foundation, MDF saw over 6,000 persons from Ogoja LGA, Obudu LGA and the entire northern Cross River State enjoyed free and quality healthcare for the first time in 2 years – the last being held by the same Foundation in 2016.

The 8-day free medical outreach, CALABAR REPORTERS gathered was organised in partnership with FAITHCARE OUTREACH INTERNATIONAL, a team of medical experts drawn from the US and Nigeria, trained to carry out community outreach programmes.

The free medical services offered include surgical operations, eye care, dental care, ENT, consultations, counselling, free medications, treatment, and lots more.

Speaking, Mr. Anniah, a beneficiary of the outreach, while applauding Dr. Linda Ayade said “This is pure human kindness in action; that she is thinking of how to touch the people even in their remote and rural areas, taking the sick and elderly from their homes to get medical treatment is something I have never seen before.”

The programme which commenced on the 27th of July – 3rd of August 2018 was held at the General Hospital, Ogoja Local Government Area of Cross River State.
