The end of the regular Capcom Pro Tour season is now upon us, but the action is not over just yet for Street Fighter 6’s first pro circuit.
Now that they’ve reached the top 8 at the CPT U.S. / Canada Midwest qualifier, we’ve gone back and performed a breakdown of the characters in this last tournament.
One of the big standouts of this weekend is that we got Hamad cracking the top 8 with E. Honda and playing pretty spectacularly with him, but he wasn’t alone considering two other Sumo stars also made it to the top 32 with Jewelman and DiabloHR.
Moreover, there were also three Lilys as well though ElChakotay took her the farthest and just missed the top 8 with one of the six remaining character mains who haven’t qualified for a Capcom Cup spot yet — so that dream appears to be done outside of the last chance qualifier.
What is looking very likely, however, is another competitor taking Luke across the finish line here in the Midwest too.
The SF6 protagonist was the most popular by far with 6 Lukes making it to the top 32.
And it’s even more crazy that 5 of them finished in the top 12 with 3 still in the running for the top 8 between YC|ZachInABox, DualKevin, and Joe Umerogan.
Overall, we say 14 different mains in this top 32 with nine repeats, and since there were over 580 players signed up for this last CPT event, these statistics account for around the top 5% of entrants.
That unfortunately means A.K.I., Rashid, Jamie, Manon, Zangief, and Guile have been absent from the upper brackets.
