TotalEnergies and MRS Oil & Gas Company Limited, among others, have emerged as winners in the 2024 commercial bid.
The winners were announced during the commercial bid conference held in Lagos on Wednesday.
The commercial bid was for both the 2022/ 2023 deepoffshore licencing round and the 2024 Licencing round.
Themed “Unlocking Nigeria’s Energy Potential: A Licensing Round for the Future,” the event gathered key industry leaders in the Nigerian oil and gas sector.
TotalEnergies secured the PPL 2000/2001 license with 126 points, narrowly beating Star Deepwater Petroleum Limited, which scored 125 points. MRS Oil & Gas Company Limited emerged as the winner of the PPL 303 license.
In the PPL 269 bid, Petroli Energy Marketing and Supply Limited outbid Afagaf Company Limited to secure the license. Sahara Deepwater Resources Limited emerged victorious in both the PPL 270 and PPL 271 categories, beating AMG Exploration and Production Limited, RBO Energy Services Limited, and Kalm Marine Petroleum Exploration and Production Nigeria Limited.
For licenses PPL 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006, BISWAL Oil and Gas, First E&P Development Company, Dewayles International Limited, Applefield Oil and Gas Limited, and First E&P Development Company Limited won, being the sole bidders in their respective categories.
Similarly, PPL 2007, 2008, and 3007 were awarded to R28 Holdings Limited, Tulcan Energy E&P Company Limited, and Oceangate Engineering Oil and Gas Limited, respectively.
Broron Energy Limited defeated Star Deepwater Petroleum Resources Ltd to win the PPL 2009 license. Meanwhile, PPLs 3011, 3012, 3015, 3016, and 3017 were awarded to sole bidders, including R28 Holdings, Tulcan Energy E&P Company Limited, Panout Oil and Gas, Hakilat Oil and Gas Consortium Ltd, and Applefield Oil and Gas.
