Today we’re sharing some wonderful fighting game fan art from Portuguese artist LeoBgkk. We’ve rounded up a 12-image gallery featuring characters from Street Fighter, Guilty Gear, Darkstalkers, Tekken, and Dragon Ball FighterZ.
While Leo does have some great looking straight shots of some of our fighting game favorites, he’s also got some especially intriguing and imaginative evolutions.. such as an undead May from Guilty Gear riding an equally undead dolphin of death.
This gallery-leading image really took us by surprise and got us to stare a good long while. The character herself is so bubbly, carefree, and fun loving that seeing her drawn as a skeleton is naturally striking (though the undeniable fact that she’s been an overpowered monster at times in Guilty Gear Strive also lends itself to this depiction).
We also have to give a specific shout out to the drawings of Akuma as he might appear in Street Fighter 6. This aged version of the character sees him as both tattered and old, and much closer to the stature and shape of Oro as opposed to his usual, muscle-bound self.
There are two images of old Akuma, the first of which simply sees him walking alone, the second reminding us of his former glory. He admittedly looks much creepier and potentially more threatening in his old form, and we have to wonder if he’s still able to pull off a Raging Demon.
The other big eye catcher for us was the bloodied pair of wrestling teammates from Street Fighter. R. Mika and Nadeshiko are usually seen on a team, but it looks like they may have held a one on one exhibition that very much went in the favor of Mika.
She’s got a bit of blood on her face as she appears to be cutting a post match promo on a beaten down Nadeshiko. The lighting and the alternate costume colors both make this image pop, and we’re interested to hear what you think of it in the comments after you check out the full gallery here:
