Leicester have been tipped for another difficult season in the Premier League by ex-England forward Trevor Sinclair.
The Foxes are the only Premier League team yet to make a signing this summer following an underwhelming eighth-place finish last term.
While manager Brendan Rodgers was hindered by numerous injuries to key players, there is no guarantee his current strongest XI will be available by the end of August.
With big improvements needed to regain their place in Europe’s top-tier competitions, Leicester look more likely to lose quality rather than gain it.
Veteran goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel appears set to join French club Nice after 11 years at the King Power.
Meanwhile, star players Wesley Fofana and Youri Tielemans continue to be linked with moves away.
Chelsea have identified defender Fofana as their No.1 target before the beginning of the new season, while Arsenal are thought to be interested in midfielder Tielemans.
Schmeichel and Tielemans are two of ten players in the Foxes squad with deals expiring in 2023, putting Leicester in a difficult position.

Ahead of the new season, which starts on August 5, Sinclair told talkSPORT: “I think they’ll struggle. They finished the season well, which must’ve been pleasing, getting Fofana back will be key if they can keep hold of him.
“Looking at the rumours coming out, Schmeichel is going to Nice once they find a replacement, I think they’ve already got a good No.2.
“But just as a club, they were very underwhelming for what we’re used to from them last season.”
However, Aston Villa legend Gabby Agbonlahor believes Rodgers already has enough quality at his disposal.
He told talkSPORT: “I don’t see the big fuss about Leicester.
“Everyone is obsessed with teams signing players.
“Leicester have got a top squad: Harvey Barnes, James Maddison, Patson Daka, Jamie Vardy, Youri Tielemans, Wilfred Ndidi, Wesley Fofana.
“If Rodger feels the need for changes in his squad, they’ll buy the right player.
“What is the point of signing players just to make your fans happy and get new faces in?
“Teams have disappointing seasons and they come back.
“They need one or two players but there’s not a lot in that team that needs changing.”
