Guilty Gear Strive Season 3 is the biggest update the game has received so far. Needless to say, the meta has shifted in interesting ways since then.
TSM|Leffen, the Evo 2023 Guilty Gear Strive champion, recently released a new tier list for the game. Approximately four minutes later, Leffen released a different tier list, indicating that he had changed his mind about some things.
The fighters positioned in the highest tier category, S+ tier, are Goldlewis Dickinson, Ky Kiske, Sol Badguy, and Leo Whitefang. In the tier list posted just before this, these four characters shared a tier category with the next five combatants.
The S tier group consists of Sin, May, Nagoriyuki, Anji, and Ramlethal. From here, most of the cast has been positioned in the two tier categories below this one.
According to Leffen, the absolute worst character in the game right now is Zato-1. Seemingly to emphasize just how much Zato-1 struggles right now, Leffen positioned him in the D tier group when the next weakest fighter occupies the A- category.
