Leeds United set to sign former Manchester United forward in £10m deal

Leeds United have parted ways with a number of their stars this summer, now looking to make signings with the Championship already underway.

So far the Whites have had two draws in the league against Portsmouth and West Brom, whilst they’ve been knocked out of the EFL Cup by Middlesbrough with a 3-0 defeat.

Star players Crysencio Summeville and Georginio Rutter have been sold to Premier League sides West Ham and Brighton for a collective £65 million giving them plenty of funds to spare.

The Championship ide are currently looking to Manchester United midfielder Hannibal Mejbri as a potential signing, competing with Burnley for his signature.

However, it’s another United academy graduate that Leeds are now looking at signing in attack.

Leeds United look to former United star – Largie Ramazani

In order to books their attacking options, Leeds are now looking at United academy graduate Largie Ramazani from UD Almeria.

The Athletic have reported that an agreement has been made to sign the Belgian winger, with a medical booked at Elland Road today.

The 23-year-old moved to Spanish side Almeria on a free transfer back in 2020 after graduating from the United academy in search of game time. 128 appearances, 22 goals, 9 assists and a LaLiga 2 league title later, and Ramazani is heading back to England.

A deal worth £10 million has been agreed, however unfortunately for United, due to their previous regimes transfer policies, the Red Devils wont be benefiting from this move.

Under the new INEOS leadership, United are negotiating sell-on clauses for all their young stars that are parting the club, such as Facundo Pellistri to Panathinaikos and Maxi Oyedele to Legia Warsaw. If either club decide to sell the youngsters on, United will get a hefty proportion of the sale fee.

However, this was not a policy of the previous management, meaning that none of the £10 million will be going to the Red Devils.
