CALABAR – In a heartfelt felicitation message, Rt. Hon. (Amb) Hilary Ekpang Besong, the Member Representing Boki 2 state constituency and Chief Whip of the Cross River State House of Assembly, lauded Cross River State First Lady, Rev. Mrs Eyoawan Otu attributing the governor’s success to her unwavering support and dedication.
Besong celebrating the First Lady in a statement sighted by our reporter said she is a woman of immense value, describing her as a steadfast pillar of support to the governor and a key partner in driving the state towards greater developmental heights. He commended her impactful work in uplifting the less privileged and her dedication to improving the lives of women and children across Cross River State.
The statement reads in parts;
“Your passion and commitment to improving the living conditions of the less privileged in our society is humbling. The manner of your approach to issues that concern women and children in Cross River is heartwarming and this is a reflection of the mother in you.
You are an amazon. The success recorded by our governor your husband Sen. Prince Bassey Otu in just 10 months is all a reflection of your support and desire to leave Cross River better than you met it.”
Highlighting the First Lady’s passion and commitment, Besong emphasized her role as a nurturing figure, reflecting her compassionate approach to societal issues. He hailed her as an “amazon,” acknowledging her instrumental contribution to the achievements recorded by Governor Sen. Prince Bassey Otu within a mere 10-month period.
As the state marks the occasion of her birthday, Besong extended warm wishes for joy, peace, and good health, along with divine blessings in all aspects of her life. He expressed optimism for many more years of impactful service and leadership from Her Excellency, the First Lady.
