The late Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt. General Taoreed Lagbaja would be buried in Abuja on Friday.
The brother to the deceased, Moshood Lagbaja, disclosed this in Osogbo, Osun State, during a condolence visit by St Charles Grammar School Osogbo Old Boys Association (SCOBA).
Moshood said that although the military could not release the remains of the COAS to the family, they have been assured he would be given a befitting burial on Friday.
The Federal Government has announced the death of the late Lagbaja following a prolonged undisclosed ailment which subsequently claimed his life on November 5.
Lagbaja, who was 56, served as Chief of Army Staff for one year and four months, following his appointment by President Tinubu in June 2023.
His military career began when he enrolled in the Nigerian Defence Academy in 1987.
