12 August world over is recognised as Youth Day by the United Nations (UN). This year's United Nations International Youth Day has for its theme: 'The Road to 2030: Eradicating Poverty and Achieving Sustainable Production and Consumption'. The commemoration of the event is tailored to answer the basic question —'How can young people bring winning solutions to the problems of Unemployment and Governance/Leadership?'. The objectives are phrased thus:
1. To help young people see Nigeria from a different perspective
2. Providing winning solutions to sectoral problems in Nigeria
3. To help participants learn how to engage with solutions
4. Help participants understand how to build sustainability in leadership.
Youth Aflame International, the youth wing of Bible Christian Crusaders Mission (BCCM), a burgeoning church headquartered in Calabar, Cross River State capital city, located at 55 Webber Street will be commemorating the International event on Saturday 13 August; and Mr Awade Friday popularly called Last Prophet/Otwetwe, the CEO of LaffHouze Entertainment has been scheduled as a resource person billed to partake in an interactive session.
The event is slated for 4PM and will have Mr Godswill Edward Osim, the Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Cross River State on Youth Affairs deliver a keynote address. Also billed to constitute the contributors panel are Mr Great Ogban, CEO of Leaders Den and Ambassador Christabella Ndubuisi of Bella Waters. Pst J. I. Okoro, the General Overseer of BCCM will be the Father of the Day.
The event is proudly powered by Kalu Foundation, and Possibility Reality Group in media partnership with 360 Degrees Nation, and Negroid Haven.
From every indication, all roads lead to the auditorium of the Bible Christian Crusaders Mission (BCCM) located at 55 Webber Street, Calabar. I dare say that as a youth if you are not in the venue mentioned above tomorrow, then you will be nowhere.
