Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory tests and analyses following established protocols and procedures.
- Prepare samples and reagents accurately for testing and experimentation.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of laboratory activities and test results.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Collaborate with research and quality assurance teams to interpret and report data.
- Assist in developing and improving laboratory methods and procedures.
- Manage laboratory inventory and order necessary supplies and materials.
- Preparing and analyse samples using a variety of laboratory techniques and equipment.
- Conducting various laboratory tests, analysing samples, and interpreting scientific data to support research, quality control, and product development initiatives
- Ensure that all laboratory procedures are conducted in compliance with established protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Accurately document and report test results, maintain laboratory records, and contribute to the continuous improvement of laboratory processes and methodologies
- Collaborate closely with scientists, researchers, and quality assurance personnel to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory data
- Participate in troubleshooting laboratory equipment issues, calibrating instruments, and maintaining laboratory supplies and inventory
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a laboratory environment preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in laboratory work.
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques and instrumentation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
- Effectively communicate findings and provide insightful analysis will be essential in supporting informed decision-making across various departments

Qualifications
Bachelor\’s degree or HND in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology or related scientific field with 3 to 5 years’ experience in the Physico-chemical laboratory analysis of Water, Food, Beverages and Petroleum
