Kuma gameplay trailer for Tekken 8

Kuma gameplay trailer for Tekken 8

Though the base roster for Tekken 8 was revealed long ago, gameplay details for certain characters remain scarce. Earlier today, Bandai Namco released Kuma’s gameplay trailer for Tekken 8.

While there has technically been a fighter named “Kuma” present in every Tekken title so far, the Kuma that appeared in Tekken 1 and Tekken 2 is actually the father of “Kuma II” as he appears in Tekken 3 through Tekken 8.

At the conclusion of Tekken 7’s main story, Heihachi Mishima was killed by Kazuya Mishima. Heihachi’s pet, Kuma, seems to believe that Heihachi is still alive and out there, though this seems extremely unlikely at this point.

Regardless, the disappearance of Heihachi has caused a change with Kuma. Although his playstyle is as feral as ever, he’s seemingly adopted a version of the Electric Wind God Fist, a technique often utilized by Heihachi and his family members.

Additionally, Kuma is now wearing Heihachi’s outfit and belt. When he performs his Rage Art, it’s revealed that the salmon he carries is actually a missile that can be launched at his opponents.
