Krossplay confirmed to be coming to Mortal Kombat 1 next week along with Peacemaker

The gameplay reveal for Peacemaker and Janet Cage in Mortal Kombat 1 was recently unveiled. It was previously rumored that Krossplay would also be launching with Peacemaker.

As it turns out, that rumor is true as it was announced earlier today that the Krossplay feature would be released as a new feature with next week’s patch. Early access for Peacemaker will begin on February 28, so the patch next week will be launched on that day or possibly even a day before.

According to the Tweet that announced this, Krossplay will exist between the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC versions of the game. Likely due to technical reasons, there was no mention of the Nintendo Switch version.

“With peace, comes Krossplay. The feature will be included in next week’s patch and supported between PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store),” said the official Mortal Kombat 1 Twitter account. “More details coming early next week.”

Based on the fact that there will be more details coming early next week, we are very likely due for a new Kombat Kast that precedes Peacemaker’s release. Details about the Krossplay feature will probably be revealed during the live presentation.

Competition in Mortal Kombat 1’s ranked mode will surely be picking up with the release of this Krossplay feature as there will obviously be more opponents that can be ran into.
