A new fighting game has just dropped in Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, which of course means that players are already going to be arguing about who is the best / worst on the roster.
Longtime anime fighter pro Kizzie Kay recently put together his first tier list for Granblue Rising with perhaps a few surprises.
Since a handful of South Korea’s best players also made their own group tier list, we can see how Kizzie’s rankings differ quite a bit from top to bottom.
While they all seem to agree that Zeta is looking like the strongest character out the gate and Nier, Lancelot and Seox are potential top tiers as well, the American pro isn’t as down on who the Korean team put on their bottom ranks.
Kizzie actually has Anila up in the top GranBluers tier list and calling her ironically a “sleeper” right now with crazy normals, amazing specials and sheep projectile priority assuming he’s being totally serious.

For his own boy he’s been putting in time with, Mr. Kay also put newcomer Grimnir up in A+ tier, so maybe the meme-y spear user isn’t just a joke.
Unfortunately to all Metera fans out there, however, is she’s at the very bottom by herself, although she did just win the week 1 tournament for Rising at DreamHack Atlanta 2023 in the hands of SenpaiSpyder — so maybe things aren’t that bad, hopefully.
