Kidnapped UNICEM expatriates has been released 3 days after been held hostile in Calabar

Good news as the 4 expatriates kidnapped by kingpin at Idundu bridge towards UNICEM plant, Akamkpa has been released according to the Cross River State Security Adviser SSA, Mr. Jude Ngaji.

The SA also denied the rumours of government paying some ransome to the kingpins. He said the expatriates are all in good condition and they were released on Sunday 3 days from the kidnapping.

Mr. Ngaji also confirmed that all the kidnapped persons have been released. And that all the white guys were released unhurt without any issues, but the two black guys, the Nigerians sustained some minor injuries possibly from torture. He added that no information about the Kidnappers yet, but the security is doing all they can to bring the hoodlums to book.
