NetherRealm Studios released a fresh gameplay trailer for Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns this morning. This time, the dark and sinister Noob Saibot was the star of the show as he will be joining the fight as DLC when the big expansion drops later this month.
In addition to this new trailer, the Mortal Kombat 1 social media accounts shared another fresh clip this time providing fans with the first in-game gameplay look at two of the upcoming Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns pre-order costumes.
Those who opt to pre-order any of the Khaos Reigns purchase options will be granted access to four additional main roster character skins. You will receive Wedding Scorpion, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 Sub-Zero, Empress Mileena, and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 Noob Saibot.
In this new clip, we see the first two aforementioned special costumes on display in-game with actual gameplay footage.
We first see a close up shot of Wedding Scorpion and UMK3 Sub-Zero as they engage in a clash during their pre-fight intros. This grants us a close look at Sub-Zero’s classic ninja mask and getup here, as well as the mask-less new Scorpion costume.
As the intros play out and the two fighters separate, the new footage also shows a full body look at both new skins in motion.
The inspiration for Sub-Zero’s special pre-order costume stems from an obvious source as it is right there in the name. Scorpion’s upcoming outfit, however, appears to be a reference to events that take place within the new story mode chapters that are set to be included with the Khaos Reigns expansion.
