Manchester City will be the heavy favorites going in to the final, with Manchester United having one of their worst seasons in their history. While Guardiola’s men fight for the Premier League, Erik Ten Hag’s Manchester United are fighting for any European places for the next season.
Manchester United will be going all out in the FA Cup final, with a victory securing Europa League football. Manchester United will be hoping to have the majority of their squad back for the outing. Key players including Lisandro Martinez, Marcus Rashford, and Luke Shaw could make a return.
One boost that has been handed to Manchester United is the injury to Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson, According to the BBC, he has suffered a fractured eye socket. Ederson was involved in a collision on Tuesday night with Tottenham defender Cristian Romero, where City won 2-0.
Ederson will be a big miss for Pep Guardiola, having played in all previous rounds of the FA Cup over the last two seasons. Stefan Ortega will most likely come in to replace the Brazilian international.
