Earlier this year, it was revealed that Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster would be receiving 17 DLC costumes that pulled from Street Fighter, Darkstalkers, Resident Evil, and other Capcom franchises.
Sometime later, it was revealed that Frank West could be made to dress up as Rikuo from Darkstalkers and the BX-02 Blodia from Cyberbots. However, it seems that there are more fighting game characters to be referenced as costumes in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster.
Just today, it was confirmed that Frank West can dress up as Ken Masters from the Street Fighter series. Although Frank can’t throw a fireball or dragon punch in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, he still looks awesome in that red gi.
It was also revealed that players can also dress up the main character as Tron Bonne, one of the recurring antagonists of the Mega Man Legends series. Notably, Tronne Bonne has also been a prominent character in the Marvel vs. Capcom series with her last appearance being in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.
Finally, we also get access to Chris Redfield and Nemesis costumes from the Resident Evil series. Both of these iconic characters have appeared in both Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite.
Along with each character’s respective costumes, fans will also get access to remixed versions of the “Ken Stage” theme from Street Fighter Alpha, “Flutter vs. Gesellschaft” theme from Mega Man Legends, “Save Room” theme from the Resident Evil 1 Remake, and “Metamorphosis” from Resident Evil 3.
There are still a number of costumes that have yet to be revealed among the 17 DLC outfits that have been promised. Needless to say, we’re still expecting one or two more fighting game references with some of these costumes.
