The year was 2023, January to be exact. It was a time of first date jitters. Fast forward to August of the same year, and Kelsea decides to give her followers a glimpse into the past. She shares a nostalgic video on TikTok, a video that takes us back to the start of her relationship.
The video is a behind-the-scenes look at her prepping for her first official date with Chase. It happened on the 7th of January, 2023. “Happy weekend,” she writes in the caption, “Here’s a vid I shot and sent to my BFF before my first date with Chase.”
The video is set to her own song, “How Do I Do This.” It’s a tune about the nerves of going on a first date after a long time. In the video, Kelsea is seen showing off her chosen outfit.
“Here’s the look, with the boots,” she says, giving herself a once-over in a full-length mirror. She spins around to show her half-up, half-down hairstyle. “We’ve got the hair clip,” she adds, “trying to channel that cool girl vibe.”
She keeps talking to an off-camera friend, giving them the lowdown. “He’s picking me up, we’re hitting a sushi place. I’ll ring you tomorrow for a full debrief,” she promises.
Taking a deep breath, she raises one arm and finger in the air. “I can do this. I can do this,” she affirms. Then, after a little dance, she declares, “It’s just a date. You just show up, eat some food, chat about stuff you do, OK?”
