Although Kazuya Mishima was basically the first character revealed for Tekken 8, we haven’t really had too many opportunities to see his gameplay. However, Bandai Namco has recently released a new trailer featuring Kazuya’s gameplay in Tekken 8 in a way that was similar to the Nina Williams Tekken 8 trailer.
As expected, Kazuya appears to have developed a few new tricks since his appearance in Tekken 7. Now that Heihachi Mishima has been dealt with, it seems that Kazuya now has his sights set on Jin Kazama.
It looks as though Kazuya’s Devil Blaster (eye laser) has been incorporated into the third attack in one of Kazuya’s hit strings. Since Kazuya was successful in performing the combo in the trailer, it’s currently unknown if this attack can hit opponents from a full screen’s distance.
When Kazuya has initiated the new Heat System via a Heat Burst or Heat Engager, it will be especially obvious for him. While the Heat System is active, Kazuya will be in his Devil Form during gameplay.
We also get a good look at Kazuya’s Rage Art in Tekken 8, which also has him transforming into his Devil Form. After launching the opponent into the air with his Devil Blaster, Kazuya will then proceed to spike the opposition back onto the ground thanks to his ability to fly.
