We feel it is important to state the facts concerning the video and the claims made:
The Individuals Involved:
The person who shared the video, KANDY UMOH, is unknown to Kal Vegas Hotel.
The individual who created the video is our former employee, GABRIEL EKORO NKANU.
GABRIEL EKORO NKANU’S EMPLOYMENT
Mr. Nkanu was employed on August 23, 2025, as a kitchen staff member, his claim of being a chef we do not question, after all Kal Vegas can claim to be a 5 Star Hotel.
He worked a total of one month and eight days before absconding from work on September 30, 2025.
He, along with all other employees, was duly paid his salary for the days
he worked in August 2025. To suggest he was owed pay for days before his employment in August is baseless.
We were surprised that a kitchen staff member would take offense at being asked to clean his kitchen and its surroundings.
The Events of September 30th On September 30th, Mr. Nkanu first informed us that he could not account for three portions of chicken. He was advised to re-check his records as he was the onl one in the kitchen.
Minutes later, he returned demanding his September salary. We informed him that September salaries would be processed and paid alongside all other employees’ salaries as scheduled.
He caused a disturbance and left the premises. Unbeknownst to us, he had already recorded various videos during his short tenure, which he later used to publish this unethical social media attack.
We find it deeply concerning, and it may be indicative of either an unstable mind or a more sinister intent that an employee who worked for such a brief period would compile these recordings.
OUR COMMITMENT AND NEXT STEPS
Kal Vegas Hotel & Suite operates with the highest level of integrity. We do not owe any salary to current or former employees, contractors, or suppliers except bank loan which we are not in default.
We are currently pursuing all available legal mechanisms to address this defamatory act and seek proper redress.
