It’s fair to say that some of the Manchester United squad are struggling to adapt to Ruben Amorim’s system, with Juventus now offering one of the struggling stars a lifeline.
United have just recorded their fourth loss in a row, as Newcastle beat them 2-0 at Old Trafford.
As The Red Devils conceded the second goal, with both happening within the first 20 minutes, Amorim was noticeably frustrated.
Unfortunately United couldn’t fight back to grab a single goal, making it their third goalless game, having been beaten by Bournemouth, Wolves and now Newcastle.
One man who Amorim was unimpressed by was new signing Joshua Zirkzee, who was tested as an attacking midfielder in the wake of Bruno Fernandes‘ suspension.
The Dutchman was substituted however in the 33rd minute, replaced by Kobbie Mainoo as the home fans cheered on.
Now, life at Old Trafford may be called short for the striker, with his disappointing first season at United potentially set to come to an early end.

Joshua Zirkzee offered a lifeline by Juventus
Despite Zirkzee’s wish to succeed under Amorim, the club is looking to move the striker on permanently in the summer.
However, Tuttosport, as reported by AreaNapoli, has reported that Juventus are moving for the struggling striker in January. Juve are understood to be keen to give Zirkzee a opportunity to return to Italy as early as January.
The Serie A side is reportedly working on a loan offer with an option to buy. It’s understood that the option to buy is linked to certain objectives being met, such as securing Champions League football for next season.
Zirkzee is proven in Serie A, having grabbed 12 goals and seven assists in 37 games last season for Bologna.
