It seems that LogitechG|Justin Wong and Mike Ross are in attendance for Capcom Cup X. As such, they’re getting the opportunity to try out Ed in Street Fighter 6 prior to the character launching on February 27.
Justin Wong recently uploaded about 20 minutes of Ed gameplay footage. With some help from Mike Ross, the video first goes over what Ed can do before showing off some actual gameplay for Ed.
We previously learned that Ed has fully embraced his background of a traditional boxer. Though Ed no longer performs kicks, he now has some “flicker” attacks that really boosts Ed’s effective reach.
The character hasn’t even been released yet, but Justin Wong already seems to be pretty comfortable with Ed. During a match with Mike Ross, Wong is able to pull off a combo that goes into Ed’s level 3 Super Art, resulting in about 50% damage.
Of course, Mike Ross is able to demonstrate that he’s no slouch himself. Despite being significantly behind in that particular match, he’s almost able to mount a comeback with some well-executed whiff punishes.
