Hon. Mercy Akpama, a dedicated member of the Cross River State House of Assembly representing Yakurr 2, continues her relentless efforts to empower her constituents. In a recent entrepreneurial initiative, she provided vital support to two constituents who, despite being active and thriving in their businesses, had faced financial setbacks. Recognizing their potential and determination, Hon. Mercy intervened to help them get back on their feet.
At the event, held during the Female Legislators Outreach at Nko on October 12, 2024, and sponsored by the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), UN Women and Government of Canada, Hon. Mercy handed out two digital POS machines along with capital funds of 100,000 naira each to Mr Solomon Onen Ofem from Nko Community and Ms. Komommo Ude Onun from Mkpani community.
