The Chief Judge of Ekiti State, Justice Oyewole Adeyeye, is dead.
Details of his death are yet to be made known officially.
Sources told Tribune that the 64-year-old judge died on Monday at an undisclosed hospital after a brief illness.
Justice Adeyeye, who was born in 1960 in Araromi Ugbesi, Ekiti East Local Government Area, started his legal profession in 1986 as state counsel in the old Ondo State civil service.
In 1996, he joined the Ekiti State Judiciary Service Commission after the the state was created from the old Ondo State.
The deceased was elevated to the position of a judge in the Ekiti State High Court in 2002.
Justice Adeyeye was sworn in as the Chief Judge of the state on October 11, 2021 by former Governor Kayode Fayemi.
