JUST IN: APC reportedly disrupting guber, House of Assembly elections in Yakurr

Nyok|9 March 2019

The ongoing elections into gubernatorial and House of Assembly offices in Cross River State and across the entire country are being disrupted in Yakurr LGA.
Members of the All Progressives Congress, APC are on the rampage of violently sacking polling units in designated wards perceived not to be their strongholds.
Particularly, in Aneja in Ijom Ward of Yakurr I State Constituency, they have just sacked the polling units there. The publisher of CrossRiverDaily, Mr Onun Endurance just dropped on the wall, 'Currently ongoing…thugs vs. police in gun battle just in front of my house at Kekonkole Ijom, Ugep. The town is red-hot – all men are indoor except men who are not just men'.
Recall that I had reported that, 'In Inyima ward still in Yakurr, the Minister for Niger Delta has been fingered in involvement with electoral malpractice. According to Dr Godwin Igile former Cross River Water Board Ltd boss 'INEC materials for Inyima council ward snatched at Gun point in front of First Bank Ekori by armed Police officers led by a former police Sgt, Samuel Enang Okori from Assiga Beach. Is it that the Hon Minister of Niger Delta will involve himself in dirty acts like this.'
