December 3 2024 MANHATTAN, New York – Daniel Penny was seen arriving at NYC Court amid Protesters chanting “Guilty! Guilty! Guilty!”, as Closing Arguments Heard and deliberations are expected later today.
Penny has pleaded not guilty to manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide charges in the death of Jordan Neely in May of 2023.
“You obviously cannot kill someone because they are crazy and ranting and looking menacing, no matter what it is that they are saying,” Manhattan Assistant District Attorney Dafna Yoran spoke to the jurors.
Penny’s defense attorney Raiser told jurors that his client “put his life on the line” for strangers.
Closing arguments were heard Tuesday morning from both sides in the trial, Penny could face up to 15 years behind bars if convicted.
